Zig Ziglar’s November Newsletter.

The greatest single cause of a poor self-image is the absence of unconditional love.

Riddle of the Week

No sooner spoken than broken.  What is it?

By Croft M. Pentz

He  who abandons himself to God will never be abandoned by God.

We die by living to ourselves – we live by dying to ourselves.
Christ is not valued at all unless He is valued above all.
It is not the talented people who serve the Lord best but the dedicated ones.
No sacrifice we make is too great for the One Who sacrificed His all.

Love Is a Score in Tennis

By Zig Ziglar

tennisLove is also something you do for other people.  It’s an active verb.  Speaking of active, at age 75, despite two knee operations,  James Lewis continued his life-long practice of teaching Alabama youngsters to play tennis.  Sports Illustrated told his story in a special feature.  He was a black retired steel worker who grew up in segregated Birmingham, Alabama.  He was not allowed to play tennis in the public parks as a child.  However, the old saying, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way,” held true.  James played under circumstances he created.  He did things like carving out a red clay court on a vacant lot and painting lines on vacant concrete wherever he could find it.

Weathering the Stress of Change
By Chip Lutz
tornadoChange is good!  We know it and accept it as a premise but this phrase becomes empty and tiresome when all we know is change.  In today’s world, change comes at us like a “F-5” Tornado – hurtling objects at us so fiercely that we have to hide in the basement for protection and wait for the winds to subside.  When leaders don’t make the proper preparations, we find ourselves (and our team) blown more towards “stressed and apathetic” rather than “happy and enthusiastic”!  To shelter your team from the stress and negativity that can emerge from the winds of change (even with the best plan), take refuge in these simple actions for creating a positive environment.

What’s New At Ziglar?

We are proud and excited to announce that Zig Ziglar has been selected to receive one of the 2008 American Motivation Awards.
